Lektroland, a sublabel of SonicAngel, will focus specifically on the electronic music. Even though Belgium has an immense history and impact on this genre, the label will immediately position itself as an international platform.

The principles of Lektroland are similar to the ones practiced in the general SonicAngel site. Fans are involved in every step of the process, from discovery via funding to production and release. Also the FanShares, allowing the fans to invest in the artist, will be available, allowing fans to be a complete part of the entire experience. Our selection is based on 3 criteria. They are all equally important.
Criteria n°1 is your talent as an artist. We have a team of A&R specialists, which are basically there to spot the next big talents. We judge this mainly on your submitted work, we always attend a rehearsal session or a concert and often even invite you to our SonicAngel music studios.
For Lektroland, Bart Mandonx will be in charge of the A&R and label management.
Criteria n°2 is the SonicAngel FanRank. This is basically a Social Media scorecard. We measure the feedback and engagement your are creating amongst your early fans. More specifically we measure 3 metrics on 5 networks: facebook, twitter, youtube, facebook and last.fm. This allows us to see the reactions of fans, and gives us an idea if you can convert fans into Funders later on! Criteria n°3 is your attitude. Yep, your attitude! The music biz is a tough industry, and you'll have to work hard to get there.

Our entire team stepped into SonicAngel with the intention to change the landscape for emerging hard working talent, and we're working like hell (no pun intended) to get it done. By combining innovative models and music biz best practices in the discovery, financing, production and release of artists.
Lektroland is a label of SonicAngel, which was launched 2010 by veteran Belgian labelowner /musician /producer Maurice Engelen, a.k.a. Praga Khan, of the group Lords of Acid (video below). His partner in the venture is Bart Becks, former CEO of Belgacom Skynet, Belgium's leading ISP, and a well known European internet entrepreneur. In the meantime, an amazing team of developers, designers and music professionals is pushing the music biz in new territory.
